Greetings from Chicago!

I've reached out to all the active members who are on SB to resolve the old swaps I am missing. I received 2 addresses and I'm waiting to hear back from 1. When all items are sent and received, I'll update this section! I've resolved 2. I anticipate only being able to resolve 2 so I hope you'll understand these are old 1 ratings and I have done my best to resolve!

I am Cassi (in my 30s) and I enjoy papercrafts, journaling, artist trading cards, mail art, zines, and pocket letters. I joined SwapBot in 2018, but I started arts and crafts in 2017, and have been a journaler since 2014. I participated in many swaps on facebook and instragram, but I would like to participate in more letter writing and mail art, so here I am!

I speak 2.5 languages. My native language is English and Spanish, and I studied Korean to an intermediate conversational fluency.

I am also trained as an English teacher, but work as a office administrator.

I lived in Korea for nearly 2 years and now reside back in Chicago with my family.

In addition to artistry and crafting, I do enjoy video games. I own an XBOX Series X and I play Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, and Apex Legends.

Lastly, I'm a huge fan of Chicago's C2E2. I used to go every year, but is costly so I haven't gone in a while!

I really really enjoy seeing folks journals. My 2018 Junk Journal is a mix of pinks and greens (my favorite colors) with black covers and overflowing with random embellishments and mismatching themes strewn throughout. These days (2025) I'm only focused on my reading journals and sticker journals.

I love Artist's stickers and sticker sheets that are whimsical.

I subscribed to Stickii club's stickers for years, which I have found to be the best sticker subscription pack. In the past, I received Pipsticks, but no longer enjoy their selection.

I do collect stickers, but I have ended my days of buying Dollar Tree stickers. I've found that those stickers, although quite pretty, aren't the first things I grab when I start to craft.

I've begun looking into swapping artsy and cultural postcards and I really prefer to receive them in an envelope if they aren't decorated or written on.

I follow a few artists on youtube, who I watch regularly and feel so inspired by their beautiful art. My #1 favorite is Maremi Small Arts. Her online kits are gorgeous. I also follow Paige Taylor Evans, Shara Crane and so many more. ** - Whimsy/pastel/gothic/dark academia style things

DISLIKES or Don't Need

I generally do not want you to send extras. If you just send the swap minimum requirements, that's more than enough!

• Any thing with a sharp smell will be difficult for me so if you can avoid it, please. I have a very sensitive nose and feel sick with certain smells.

• I really do not need Dollar Tree items. Chances are I already have them! 💛💛

• I also won't get much use out of confetti or very small cuts of paper unless we've discussed it.

• I don't want any Christian/Catholic/Jesus religious material. If you want to send other religious material so I can learn more about it, that's okay!

• please no rewards or happy planner type stickers (I have plenty!)

• please no Tim Holtz dead people images (ON ANYTHING)

My first love was ATCs but I find that over time I've had a harder and harder time making them. I love to receive them, but I much prefer to make Pocket Letters these days.

The 9 pockets lets me tell a story and I don't have to put so much presser on just one pocket.

I am also a fan of 3D projects and would say I excel at them when I have no time limit and I know the recipient well. I've made so many I can't even remember them all.

I have been into zines lately and I really love making informational zines. I usually make ABOUT ME zines for my pocket letters at the beginning of the year. I make them digitally, but recently took a stab at a hand drawn one and was pleasantly surprised at how fun it was.

This year I want to try more crafts on swapbot - decos, slams, and bag swaps.

I also like to alter things. My fav alterations were canvases. Some of which you can find on my instagram.

Lastly, I love beads and making dangles and charms for purses, bookmarks, earrings. Whatever you fancy.

I'm practicing stamping and color to improve at that. I started that many years ago and since I didn't pick it up as easily as I'd like, I put it down for too long. Now I'm back and ready to learn.
