Description: | |
For this swap, you will create one pair of earrings on sturdy paper (think thick watercolor paper, Bristol, cardstock etc). You will decorate this paper using whatever art medium you prefer - mixed media, watercolor, stamping, colored pencil, marker, sharpie, collage, acrylic, etc, You can cover/decorate the back of the earrings if you want to, but it is not required unless your medium is messy and the back of the earrings has a lot of paint bleeds or something like that. Using modgepodge or another kind of sealer is also optional. Paper shape is also up to you (round, rectangular, etc.) Punch a small hole in the top of the paper, close to the edge -- this is where the ear wire will attach. Add a bit of glue to the back of the hole to make it more resistant to tearing. You can either attach ear wires yourself and mail the earring finished, or simply include two ear wires and have your partner assemble them (test before mailing that your earrings will go onto the ear wire without a problem, as in you hole is too far away from the edge , for example.) If mailed unassembled, this will be mail flat. One pair of earrings for one partner. This swap is USA only. |
